Email Mailing List Autoresponders

Fastech no longer provides mailing list services for the web sites we develop. We used to, but then we stopped. Why? Because there's a company out there doing a much better job than we ever could, in the area of mailing list maintenance.

Because of that, Fastech can now focus on what we do best - building and maintaining high-quality web sites.

Who is this company? They're called Aweber and they're hands-down the best autoresponder company out there today. They have every feature I've ever wanted, and more.

Here's a laundry list of features, just off the top of my head:

• schedule mailings in the future - specify the day and time!
• set up messages to be sent automatically to new list members (for example: send a certain message right when they join, another 2 days after they join, then a different one 7 days after that, another 12 days after, etc.)
• see if your message will be considered "spam" before it goes out (so you can fix it)
• test-send your message to yourself, or a subset of members on the list
• send MIME (pictures, graphics, color, text) or plain text messages - or both
• Their site can count the number of clicks people make on any links you put in your messages
• opt-in only - every email address on your mailing lists are working, guaranteed
• automatically add CAN-SPAM elements to your messages, to increase their chance of getting past spam filters
• simple HTML to put on your web site (and links for your email) to invite visitors to join your mailing list(s)
• easy "unsubscribe" instructions in every message (offering this relieves people's worry - people rarely use it, they just want to know they can unsubscribe at any time)
• create and customize as many autoresponders as you want

We use Aweber to manage all of our Tricks Lists, and we're very happy with them. If you want to maintain a growing, highly-qualified list of customers in your business category, you should set up a mailing list or two. I recommend it.
